it's not "plain" just the saturation with the darker color scheme making it look intentionally dull. Just take a screenshot and edit it with brighter saturation and you will get genshin color scheme.

The reason he doesnt play Genshin and play Wuthering Waves is because of combat, he dont give af about genshin and how good their stories is, he just wanna fight and action. As you can see the combat is awesome just like their previous mobile game Punishing Gray Raven
