We have $15, 000 worth of medical bills on liens(the insurance paid over $5, 000 to repair the body work on the car and we are still working on the mechanical problem .... almost 2 years later and no one can figure out the problem with our car and why it now vibrates when you drive it). We have also paid out about $4.000 our of our own pocket for medical, car and vet bills. My husband and I still have neck pain and I keep getting horrible twinges in my neck that either shoot up into my head or down the upper part of my back and something strange has been going on with my right shoulder down into my hand - numbness and tingling and then every now and then, my right hand will feel like it is broken and then a few days later, it is perfectly fine but then I will get very painful twinges on and off. I also need a $10, 000 surgery that the insurance company will not pay for, we don't have insurance to cover the am in pain and will be until I have the surgery. We have not been working because of the car accident and we don't have the money to pay for any more out of pocket since we are struggling to pay bills at this point. The other person was at fault and their insurance is offering our attorney about $15, 000 for medical bills but the attorney's fees of 1/3 need to come out of that. The insurance company is refusing to reimburse us for the vet bills because the vet didn't put down in his notes that her leg was injured in a car accident even though that was the first thing we said when we saw him....we weren't there just for no reason. (Our dog fell down and hurt her leg and could not walk on it and six months later she died from kidney failure because of the pain medication we had been giving her. So, we still have a broken car that could still cost thousands to fix, I need a $10, 000 surgery, we are out $4, 000 for bills we had to pay for ourselves (some doctor's wouldn't take a lien), and we have not been working for almost two years. Nothing for the emotional stress....I have extreme stress and anxiety, I don't want to be in a car, I'm depressed because of this and now I have several health issues most likely because of the stress. I was healthy before the accident, I ate healthy whole foods, I don't drink, I don't smoke, blood test is normal....there is no explanation why I'm having so many health problems from stomach, to an irregular heartbeat, coughing, etc.. other than stress. Every time I look something up, one of the causes they say could be chronic to do with the autonomic system. The other guy's policy was $25, 000 max per person. He didn't have a high limit but $15, 000 isn't going to cover everything especially any future medical bills. I went to the doctor right after it happened but wasn't hurting as bad but during that same qeek man i was sore so i went to the chiropractor and he said i probably had a whip lash affect.

Get an attorney ? No one wants to take my case ? They only want the catastrophic injuries. Mine was moderate. Hospital bill 13000 for a ct scan on neck and thoracic. week off work. Not in a very populated area so limited attorneys. Car insurance won't pay my bill because they want me to go through my health insurance first then look at medical bills then talk settlement.
