So Megan Kelly got fired because she asked a question about Halloween costumes. I don't get it. People are saying that is never ok to use someone's culture as a costume.. But every single year we see Elvis Presley, Native Americans, Diana Ross, Micheal Jackson, Madona, Elsa from Frozen, Marilyn Monroe, Santa Claus, Serena Williams, Britney Spears and so on. Oh and let's never forget that St Patrick's Day is celebrated all around the world. Ok. Why is so wrong if a white person wants to use a costume of Serena Williams for example? That woman is strong, athletic and beautiful. Or if a black person wants to be Elsa for a night? Let them be. People need to realise what's really important. That's not racism, that's appreciation.

So in the meantime here in the Netherlands Sinterklaas is coming soon. And sinterklaas comes with zwarte piet (Black pete, google it or search on youtube). Grown men and woman painting themselfs black en put on suits. Big red lips and big earring.. There is a big discussion going on here for yearsss. People want it banned but a lot of dutch origins don't see any problems with it. It's a discusting tradition and i feel really ashamed for it!

I’m really confused...I don’t see what what wrong with what she said?? I took away from what she said to be that she would do it as a kid meaning ‘costumes’ - i was a black kid whose put on “whiteface” to be Dracula on Halloween..does that make me racist??? No, I just put it on co’s thats how the character is seen in old-time movies.. and if u see that as racism then u really need to check urself.. using what she said invokes REAL racism!

I am not a fan of Megyn, especially how her poor interview on Jane Fonda and how she was so rude with her. But on this issue people need to chill my god getting so sensitive on costumes today are u kidding me, can’t dress as a clown, or a different culture what’s the big deal. The best comedians such as Eddie Murphy was a white man in his comedy or Dave Chappelle as well was a white man in his comedy. I can go on. We need to stop being so sensitive. If u don’t like something don’t surround yourself in it. There’s more important issues in the world today like people needing food or help but yet waste all this stupid bullshit on what costumes are appropriate. What a world we are living in today
