Really like the ease of tutorial. No gumpf, no unnecessary long intros. Just get in, show how it’s done with perfection, and jobs a good un. Great vid, got yourself a new subscriber 👍🏼

The calmness of big JM to drive it, talk to camera clearly, even throw in some casual paddle board banter! Cooler than Bond

Jon explains this so simply that even a novice can understand it!

Very impressive, if I ever decide to borrow a 60ft yacht I'll know what to do thanks to these great vids 👍👍.
Good of Hugo to lend his boat for this episode 😎👍❤️🇬🇧

Nice work. I notice the drone shot had another boat in the birth but the instructional video was in an empty birth.
Well done.

At this point, boating is merely a dream for me. This tutorial lets me know that it is something that I want to do. I want to do the loop. Maybe in about 10 years.

It's like most things, if it looks like no effort it's because it's being done properly. 👍

Great video as always thanks, I had to laugh out loud on a comment that you made. My very young niece is a driving instructor and always doing the first lesson she tells the learner check your mirrors here and also coming out of a street onto a main road be cautious always to look out for those ‘ organ donors ‘ your suicidal paddle boarders just reminded me of her. She has had a lot of incidents with them on countryside roads and bends going both ways so much so she goes out of her way to take them on country roads. Lol

When I was in the sea scouts. We where taught to never use the wheel. Only throttles until we made into the channel. I’m older. So I know things have changed over the years. Yet I still only use the throttles and thruster. 👍🏼

All well and good John but can you do this in 0 visibility, thick fog, one engine, 100 knots of wind, a hurricane approaching and the fall out of a recent thermonuclear strike clouding your view and giving you radiation poisoning, and very little fuel in your tanks? No! No Sir. Some of the comments on here really are quite funny. Great vid Mr Mendez....I get so much from your tutorials....good to see you still posting.

I've never been on a boat, but I now know how to dock one and take it out all on my o ne o. As for the driving, it reminds me of what you do in a car, slow and steady, and be observant, only you're on water and it's bigger then a car.

Great video and love how calm you remain while walking through the process. I never really saw leaving as a challenge, it is coming back in that gets the nerves going. Any chance you can do a follow up for coming back in single handed?

Can you do similar for a single engine shaft driven boat with no bow thruster and in various wind conditions?

Great video with good explanations - The 1 question I have is if the boat was sandwiched in ie 1 boat at the fwd and 1 at the stern on a long pontoon - could you use the both the levers to keep the boat from moving forward or backwards but kicking the aft away from the pontoon ie starboard engine forward and port engine in astern and the bow thruster to kick the bow out ? to basically send the boat sideways ??

“Some suicidal paddle boarders” is the best comment of the entire video.

In my case, I’m 24 y/o I’m about to start to learn on a 41’ cranchi (charter boat) with bow thruster (with twin stern drives) but generally we have the wind towards the stern, but it’s a very tight and small marina. I believe with stern drives for leaving it’s a bit more easy but correct me if I’m wrong, any tips and tricks will be appreciated
