(4K) Inaugural Flight! Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A350-900 First Arrival at Chicago O’Hare Airport

Happy I got to be there for this one and got a decent video as well!!

Scandinavian is a long-time contributor to the thriving international scene at Chicago O’Hare and the arrival of SE-RSA on 1/28/20 marks the first time we have seen them bring their new Airbus A350-900 resplendent in beautiful new SASsy paint to the premises of the ol’ ORD. The departure back to Copenhagen is later at night so I was not able to film that. Even so, I hope you enjoy this little slice of Scandinavian Airlines and Chicago O’Hare history with me!

Nice capture of the inaugural! SAS doesn't fly to Canada...in fact there's quite a few legacy carriers we're missing up here, so I'm glad ORD allows you to record them for us :)

The landing was actually quite hard. We were quite a few passengers in economy class, but they had provided water bottles in all the seats. When they enabled reverse thrust, we slowed down very quickly, causing all the water bottles to fall to the floor! Haha it was pretty funny

Thank-you so very much for sharing this with us, Jay. I am glad you were able to catch this moment in history. I have never watched a review of any SAS flight, so after I finish my comment, I'll take a look at Jeb's review. However, the big question is: Where did all the snow go? I just finished watching and writing my comment on your earlier post, and the snow was falling like bricks. I know that Chicago has its fair share of crime, but how low can criminals go when they steal snow from an airport? JUST KIDDING! Thank-you again, sir! I did enjoy the videos.
