I can't rave enough about how good this tutorial is and how great an instructor the narrator is. No wasted verbiage, rambling all over the place with useless factoids and digressions like so many other tutorials on YouTube.

Every single bit of info he gives is useful, timely, directly applicable to what needs to be done in the moment and absolutely foundational to quickly getting into and using the interface.

I don't understand why people dislike a video like this. It is a video to help people. So why hate it? I personally didn't like it very much because I found it too simple even though I've never used after effects, but it's still a great tutorial for those who need it. I guess people dislike this video just for the hell of it. I mean seriously, he really did explain a lot.

Alle Catyl Hi! the frame rate really varies from project to project. For example if I am working with footage for a short film I usually have the composition set to the frame rate of the footage (which is usually 24fps) Sometimes I have footage that is in slow motion and that was filmed at 60fps. If you are doing animation then the choice is yours. I'm not too familiar with animating but if you are trying to achieve the film look usually I would go with 24 fps. I hope this helps!
