As a 30 year veteran, I like the nomination of Pete as the DOD Secretary. It kills me that nobody ever asks how many Soldiers did Pete lead. Not to many folks lead 2 million people. I especially like that Pete served in combat more than once. I will be especially upset if Republicans don't confirm him without valid accusations. So far all the accusations are just accusations that have been made anonymously. He was not charged with a crime for the one allegation dealing with a police filed SA claim. Again he was not charged. Is that where we're at? Being accused is a disqualifier? I feel the Senate's responsibility of advise and consent should not disqualify candidates for hearsay accusations. Remember Kavanaugh. It arguable that he only got thru because of the time crunch allowed for his conformation. With all that said, if for reason Pete is dropped I would also welcome DeSantis. As he is qualified and knows have to make change and correct policy. Additionally I hope it would make him a stronger presidential candidate for 2028.

Also, I think Bobby Kennedy, Jr. was more of a factor in Trump's victory than some in Trump world are acknowledging. Trump is a Republican, but he needed swing voters to win. I am convinced RFK, Jr. helped him with those voters - especially if you listen to people who come on your show. People are really into this food thing. I didn't realize it before. Trump's best picks are JD Vance and RFK, Jr.

The census counts non-citizens if they reply which unfairly gives states with large sanctuary cities more House seats and electoral votes. Trump tried to change that for the 2020 census but was obviously rebuffed. They also tried to extend the census counting just like all the vote counting. Tells you everything.

Dan is wrong saying that by focusing on getting rid of DEI/Woke bs at DOD isn’t focused on making the DOD more effective/lethal. MAGA (and Trump) believe that that is the necessary first step. To anyone that doesn’t get this.. read Hegseth’s book. Fine not to like the guy or think he’s not qualified, but to miss the whole point (that DEI/Wokeness/removing objective tests for fitness, etc. Is what’s wrong with the current DOD is tone deaf.

Matt Gaetz is a 100% MAGA Warrior nearly the only one. Mark is 100% right, and I think choosing him was a feint by Trump to move Overton window for Pam Bondi

My concern with DeSantis for DOD is I had felt he is more like Haley than Hegseth, and that concerns me for curtailing the military industrial complex.
As far as the DEI and woke ideology, I have no doubt that he will take care of that in the military.

Im ultra mega maga, and I freaking love matt gaetz!! Way more than hegseth!! I actually don't know hegseth. On fox, I only watched tucker, jesse, and laura. So I don't have any feelings about hegseth at all. I don't pay attention to "allegations" though, because they will do that to anyone maga. Period. but I really love Desantis, so if Desantis got it, I would be happier. Greg Kelly expressed my views pretty much perfectly. I care about j6'ers, covid lies and lockdowns, mandates, election shenanigans, daniel penny, weaponization of the justice department, Ashley babbit, and safety of women and children. Also, I'm against the demonization of particular groups to divide Americans into groups.

Trying to railroad Hegseth like Kavanaugh. They forever scar someone's reputation but in modern politics the nominee suffers through process with their family. Kavanaugh it ended in tears for him and his family. Politics is nasty and toxic but there is a path

I’m a visceral Trump supporter too…absolute ride or die for Trump and I completely agree with the Orange County guy….I love Dan!! He’s absolutely fantastic.
