Guys, I think there is some misunderstanding here. This song is not something that took away from us the original version we all admire, that is still here with us. This is just something else. There are a lot of songs that have multiple versions like Delerium - Silence, Three drives on a vinyl - Greece 2000 or Rank1 - Airwave etc. (Can be instrumental or with vocal, more or less drum, slower or faster versions and so on.) I think this is good, because you can always pick the one that is the closest to your actual mood. The original with Moya is epic and when I sit down to relax for a while and hear "I close my eyes" at the beginning I do so, and simply just let that music grab me. This is what it does. This one is not worse, Chicane has not destroyed anything but has made something different. This heavier version does not relax you, it is just the opposite, it speeds you up, but sometimes this is what people need. I think it is still a wonderful, spine-tingling masterpiece. Chicane has definitely made the world a better place with Saltwater, no doubt. Thank you Nicholas!

Idk why everyone is so negative, it's not a bad vocal performance at all. May have been a bit pitch corrected in post, if not, then she did fantastic. Is it cuz the dancing? She looks like she's having fun. I know this is a more intense performance than the record, but I think it fits this setting. I'm sure if you attend more than one chicane show, you'll hear him spin the actual track, but this is live music.

Clannad gave Chicane the hauntingly beautiful Harry's game, and the birth of that collaboration was, what is possibly the finest dance track of all time. But I don't know who that was with the mic, because that wasn't a singer, that was an out of tune mess.
