As Dame said about needing overtime to get to it I don't see it happening in regulation time as Wilt did when he did it. The game has changed over the years to where I do agree that it would be a guard possibly even getting close.

Book and KD are the two guys that I think could do it but neither one will because they are more about efficiency than taking a high volume of shots. When Book scored 70 he was their only offense. It takes a superstar guard that has no help putting up an absurd amount of shots.

The rate at which total scoring averages and total game scores are increasing makes it possible in the next 10 to 20 years, the fact that Wilt did that in an era where team's point totals were around 60 to 70 pts a game makes it more incredible.
