Not sure how long this boot will last. I'm replacing a Ford one that wasn't all that great to begin with. Not this one is more silicone vs. Rubber. And it's got a really think spot in the front which I'm not happy about.

question I just installed mine on my 98 cobra i noticed the Styrofoam like material attached to the shift boot did i have to remove that? bc i dint i went through the hears like the package said after install and seems fine just have to drive it now much needed i look forward to going on long trips without worrying about the center console of my car heating up

Cutting that boot while it's on your leg is a bad idea.
