Did they change the babel one event? It just forms a coalition for me now even if I already have a coalition with the founding members (3/4 at least)

As a first time player I have big trouble forming a Federation using the recent 3.9.3 compatible version.

Vulcans and Andorians seem to hate each other with a passion (even gone so far as to declare war on each other in one session). Even the Tellarites don't react well on forming a coaliton with one of the two.

As a result I am not able to get more than one "founder"-race to join the Coalition (even when using envoys to improve relations) thus failing to achieve the condition listed in the wiki to create the United Federation of Planets.

What am I missing here?

i just formed federation with the original 4 members, however i am not leader, do not control any other worlds dev ... what did i do wrong ? do you have to get through that part of unity tree prior to conference ?

Even though I've already created a Coalition of Planets-type federation earlier with all of the other species, plus Betazoid, this old one is automatically disbanded and the new one created with only the Vulcan, Tellarite and Andorian species. Oh well. Still haven't gotten the event by 2169... Which is worrying.
Edit: I finally got the event in 2170!

this mod has problems...

not only are you crippled to such a degree as humans that you basically NEED to fire the federation as planned or you will be overrun quickly, which is quite boring on replays.

but as of 3.8.3 there are still bugs like Vulcans and Andorians rivaling eachother for eternity (yes, even after a positive change in Vulcan politics which should end the rivalry)...and the usual conflicting ethics which make a coalition pretty useless as it can't progress to further stages.

i guess Paradox will soon release their better Star Trek skinned Stellaris which will make this mod obsolete apart from replaying ENT-lore for nostalgic reasons.
