I think it's a decent appointment for Blackpool. They've just got to keep some stability becoming a established Championship side. They do not want to suffer the dreaded 2nd season syndrome, I wish both Appleton and Blackpool well this upcoming season

one thing is for sure because of his history with the club if he doesn't get off to a great start the fans will turn on him very quickly.

1. Neil Critchley is a snake

2. Rosenior not being appointed is NOTHING to do with the finances. £30m being spent on a new state of the art 100 acre training complex. Also finishing the east stand (the away end) into a bigger and more modern structure

3. CEO Ben Mansford has said we’ll have a bigger transfer budget than last season. No shock with £3m due for Bowler any week now and £1.2m compo from Villa

4. Walking out on the Oyston’s is a big plus for me. The fans disgruntlement is down to his ex-PNE connections. His son is a Preston fan as well

5. I’m slowly coming round to Appleton. He’s been appointed relatively quickly. He has great contacts in the game and his teams play aggressive, attacking football. The proof will be in the pudding. Time to get behind him and the boys

I agree with your comments, they are well thought through, what about de mooney, Appleton was a free agent correct? no contract to buy out ? The Derby bloke had a contract, I believe, so would Blackpool have to pay this out ? the turncoat Critchley had just signed a 5 year contract with Blackpool so would and did Villa have to pay this out? all this, if it works out could mean a bit of money to strengthen the side with a signing perhaps ? it also demonstrates the cannyness of Simon Sadler which bodes well for the future . Can you comment on my comments please Benjamin, perhaps I have things a little messed up

Well best of luck to him shame the other manager left to be assistant but a great opportunity for him personally I think mowbray would have done a great job but he from Blackburn so would be also controversial

Not happy with this appointment tbf...just smacks of cheap tbf. Yes he walked out of us....for the right reasons may I add but it was how quickly he left us to go to Blackburn that irked some blackpool fans. But we must back him until such time as he gives us reason not to
