The Camaro had the RS (rally sport pkg) plus $4500 wheels from the factory and a bunch of other factory options.

Both cars cost the same and both had almost identical horse power, and both were a shade of red ;-) so we felt it was an interesting apples to apples match-up.

Am I the only one who find the Mustang looks far better than the Camaro's?? All the design lines, the harmony... everything!!!

I'm pretty sure the base V6 Camaro MSRP is 22k not 39k.

@2k5mike But the 2011 v6 has an extra 100hp and does not cost too much more and the 2010 mustang will be hard to selll for a decent price, it all depends on your priorities.

my dad has a 67 ss camaro sitting in the driveway that clocked in at 205.14 in the 80's... with no bolts on the axles

@MeanMachine7924 They're showing the models that cost around 39k. Because the mustang is cheaper, you can get the bigger engine while still being in budget.

@p4horror They did rate the steering in the Camaro to be dead and have bad feel. Car and driver did say that the SRT8 had a better Slalom time then the Camaro SS.

@paladain55 Funny you should mention that. I go to yards alot, to try and find trim for my Cadillac, and almost EVERY TIME I go there there is a fresh Crustang headed straight for the crusher.

Yup I doubled checked. Mustang GT Convertible is 37K and the V6 Camaro is 23K. If you got 39 K to burn buy the V6 Camaro and a Ford Fiesta. :P

That's most likely a 2LT(RS)....v6....add some features and it could be around 32-33. Add that paint job that he got. Also notice he has the $900 power sunroof. It's possible that he could've added more stuff to the car that we don't see. Maybe some floor mats, quarter flares, possibly even a different exhaust. It's most likely not 39K but I'd say 37
