Before the season, there were 6 players at Leicester who wanted to leave due to the clubs relegation, mostly because they felt they belonged at a level above the championship. However, these 6 were convinced to stay after talking and training with Maresca and seeing how the playstyle. This list included the 4 players that would eventually become our primary starting back 4. Seeing how clubs usually get ripped apart after relegation, it’s really telling to see how Maresca was able to change their minds, and shows his leadership qualities are even more sound than his tactics
