I beat Minecraft in a world made only of liquids! This was one of the most insane challenges I’ve ever done taking almost 1,000 days of in-game time!

Huge shout out to @Mogswamp for putting up with my insanity while we filmed this video!

Thanks @camman18 for the idea behind the video!

This MINECRAFT HARDCORE SERIES is inspired by Wadzee, MumboJumbo, Grian, and Sandiction! Instead of being the Hermitcraft SMP, this series is similar to a MINECRAFT CHALLENGE video because it is HARDCORE MINECRAFT! aCookiegod also with his hardcore Minecraft videos This is similar to my 100 DAYS in MINECRAFT HARDCORE but better!

We love you Tyrosis… Also, I hope you enjoyed the video! Next one is gonna be a hardcore episode!

P.S.

For someone who wants a real challenge… theoretically you could do this video with water only and no fishing rod by getting a drown with a rod to spawn and having it drop. You don’t even need the lava or powdered snow because it’s technically possible to perform the chunk regen without the use of villagers. But I’ll let you figure out how that’s possible! Surely no one would be insane enough to attempt that? :)

Mogswamp will do literally anything to avoid playing on a normal world

Nice challenge! Here's your explanation:

The oversized chunk bug you were trying to abuse was patched many versions ago. It was not random at all - so exploiting it would've been stable - but it no longer exists. Instead, what you were doing was randomly corrupting the save file by crashing the game out of memory. This is far from the same thing - you only had a shot at getting something "useful" out of it if the game crashed right as it was saving that particular file, and then you needed it to corrupt in a way such that the chunk was entirely rejected by the game on loading back in, causing it to regenerate. The result you got first was just a corrupted index and/or palette - essentially shuffling the sections of data around, rather than triggering a full regeneration.

I never thought my video would actually help someone. And even watching a slicedlime correct me and actually explaining well why the chunk regen method works. A friend of mine told me about this and it filled me with joy! Great video!

i respect the backups and keep inventory, and for telling us about it haha, im sure lots of minecraft youtubers who do these type of videos have those options on and just don't tell us lmao

41:45 It's kinda of refreshing to see faker's so casually called out, because 99 percent of player's would never know that Chicken Jockies don't drop Eggs

No one asked me to comment on this, but then again, no one can stop me from commenting on it.
When most mobs move around randomly while not pursuing a player or another thing, they do something called WANDERING.
They choose a block in their vicinity to move to and will pathfind to it using an algorithm that I can't even fathom, much less explain. The catch is, it must be a FULL BLOCK that it wanders to, to prevent bugs or something, I don't know why. It's a common misconception that they are attracted to many blocks; it's just that if you surround them with not-full blocks and a couple of full blocks, they'll pathfind to the full blocks like idiots and fall into a well-placed hole.
Common mistake, no problem, just thought I could educate some people.

Edit: Shovel

Playing a ridiculously grindy and frustrating challenge like this is a perfectly good justification to use back-ups and keep inventory.

Oh no.
And just like that our run was over. I died, with all of our loot."

The change from him saying “You did it” to you saying “We did it” at the end of the video is so heartwarming
