This just helps point out what a wrong focus we in have in healthcare with being reactive to ailments versuses proactive for when one on the best things you can do to stay healthy is exercise and insurance will pay for a $1000 antibiotic once you get Pneumonia, but won't pay for a home model sit down recumbent bike or more expensive NuStep (but most used by therapy as geriatric appropriate types of exercise).... they will pay for a new walker OR w/c every 5 years.... why doesn't congress require they off a $1000-$2000 stipen every 5 years for pre-approved promoting health home exercise equipment or a $50 a month limit towards gym of your choice.... fir EVERYONE!!! People with limited funds aren't buying gym memberships or exercise equipment, then have to come to therapy at $90-$250 an hour so we can tell them they need to exercise daily to stay just saying

These “journalists” should be more open about what the doctor has to say and ask legitimate questions instead of questioning things right away and being judgmental. It seems like the doctor was on the defensive and understandably so. Do better!!!

Never mind concierge services. Wait . . .
In ten years normal people ( not the rich ) will be able to contact an AI virtual Doctor to make health choices.

Each individual is responsible for their own basic healthcare . The vast majority of maladies are self induced . To bring down healthcare costs, individuals should be held responsible for their maintaining their own health and if they are poisoning themselves , . killing themselves by dangerous habits, ... they should have to pay for treatment personally . Sounds harsh and will be difficult to enact but ( after more than 40 years delivering healthcare ) I believe it's the only intervention that will truly make people take care of themselves and enable the healthcare system to efficiently take care of people who are doing what they should but fall ill thru no fault of their own .
