Asmon's stance: Gambling is bad, People who are taking contracts with Kick are not being paid to gamble, just stream. Kick and Twitch are both owned by immoral companies and he is tired of hearing people on Twitch act like they have any leg to stand on when they try to take the moral high ground. Kick doesn't advertise gambling outside of the gambling tab. He will not take a gambling sponsorship, and Twitch has gambling still anyway. There is no greater evil, theyre both evil and he got tired of hearing everyone trying to act like they're angels.

I bet he will say what he always says "They might call me an asshole, but they're not saying I'm wrong" or something along those lines. And he is correct. People never really take the time to actually listen to what he says, he usually makes sense. In this case, if you look at twitch, it's a terrible place to grow as a creator.

I think Asmon's full take is that overall, in the decision of Kick vs. Twitch, it doesn't matter, you as a streamer should just do whatever is best for you each platform has different advantages. But, if you're argument of one versus the other boils down to the other company being a shitty company, his position is that they are both shitty companies and it doesn't matter.

I believe his take was that he personally didn’t like gambling so he wouldn’t gamble on kick even if they paid him a crap ton and that kick and twitch aren’t that different on the morality scale so virtue signalling is pointless just do what’s best for you

All of this is missing what I think is the most poignant thing he pointed out. He pulled out his smartphone, made it clear it was built off of child labor and 3rd world slavery, and pointed out the fact that nobody is giving up their smartphone out of moral obligation, as a parallel to the situation. People will virtue signal and make noise, but take no tangible action that actually harm their personal lives to better the world.

The whole Twitch vs Youtube vs Kick morality argument is like fighting over which is healthier, McDonalds, Burger King, or Wendys. They all suck at being healthy for one reason or another, and you're going because you're hungry and either because of price, location, or maybe you just like that place's food over the others. Same with Twitch/Youtube/Kick, you're either streaming there because of the possible opportunity of making money for streaming, to have fun, or because you're comfortable where you're at.

It's crazy how some people are quick to say how terrible kick is because of it's ties to stake but turn a blind on to twitch being connected to amazon which has terrible working conditions, have people pissing in bottles to keep work points or whatever up and even had a employee die by being forced to stay in a warehouse during a tornado, like asmongold has said "it's the lesser of 2 evils, if one is worst it doesn't make the other better".

The less of a streaming monopoly Twitch has, the better. That way, platforms can compete and improve. Supporting Kick isn't a big deal. I know some people hate how they "promote gambling" but really, if you're letting your children watch anything online without monitoring them, its the parents fault. Source: am parent.
