Tim is one of the most genuine and hardworking people I have ever met. Im glad to call him a friend and he always tries his hardest to make time for anyone, I have done plenty of meet and greets with him, this guy is a machine!

Also the encyclopedic car knowledge he possesses is second to none. He is the real deal.

Road to Success really needs to interview DDE….to show he is unbiased. Just my opinion…along with JWW and Nico

It was not a disagreement, it was about representing sponsors on Gumball it and move on....

The more shmee tries to explain the situation, the less credible he sounds. Just move on man.

So Tim is the first person in gumball history to remove stickers from the sticker pack. Then insert their own stickers and then blame someone else for his doing.

Shmee handled the DDE thing badly, he knows it but has convinced himself of an alternate version of events. It wasnt a good look, and still isnt

" I didn't want to put my competitor on the car." This is why he did it. Not any of the garbage he spewed in this video. He mentioned DDE in several of his videos after the fact as well. Speaking on viewers and other things. DDE never brought it up again after the confrontation. And here he is a year later still speaking on it.

Shmee i have a good feeling you will read this. but i want to hopefully open your eyes to this, i dont think DDE is a competitor of yours. yes, you guys make similar car content but there is so many views going around to consider them as competition is nothing short but shooting yourself in the foot. i used to see others as competition in what i do, until i realized that burning bridges can burn down your entire path.

Now by alienating yourself from DDE, every person who works with DDE will also have a bad taste in their mouth, as well as their entire audience now is non transferable to your audience. the ripple effect of this is yet to be known.. if anyone was inspired by DDE to make their own YT videos and blow up, they will by default not consider you a choice to collab with because of the past drama. so you arent just alienating yourself from their audience, you are alienating yourself from the future car youtuber generations as well. you really gotta suck it up, and admit you were wrong and yes it seems like it was a misunderstanding, but its important to talk to them and have a level headed conversation and admit where you messed up, and offer some way to make it right.

At the end of the day this isnt about money, DDE and you have enough of it. but one thing that does matter is a mans word. and right now you have shown to DDE and all their audience that when confronted, misunderstanding or not, you dont try to make things right. which is bad bad. its not about competition its about honesty to DDE with what i can tell.

This is such bullocks Smee150. What happened is they your business Mr. Burton mind stepped in. You thought and literally said you don’t want your “competition” on your car. You purposely changed the sticker to your own brand and played Mr. I did not know, whilst you perfectly knew what was going on. The set of stickers arrived at your place, you just choose not to use them. You could have easily put on the stickers during the rally. But you also choose not too. You also avoided and did not wear merch year,
Whilst every precious year you even video the merch day. It was simply too obvious. Yes DDE made a bigger fuzz than necessary but the people can see through your thoughts. It comes over as trying to outsmart,
Being caught and refusing to admit. Timeline does not matter.

Tim has known Damon long enough to know that Damon is an expert at capitalizing on content opportunities. The dude literally has some of the highest view-count cop videos out there.

Tim created an opportunity, Damon and Dave capitalized. Tim could have prevented the blowback by simply owning it, apologizing and moving on but the dodge and evade strategy lets DDE brand him a dodgy dude and, without even stoking the flames, the fire burns. What kills me is that Tim definitely knows this.

For a guy who is a member of Mensa, I’m not buying “I didn’t understand the stickers” he was wrong! A simple apology would have been the right play

i travelled over to Edinburgh for the start with my son, Shmee is a complete prick off camera.. he came down to his car and told people out loud there would be loads of time for meet and greets, me and my 7 yr old son stood by his car for 4 hours, he spent a hour rummaging through his car and chatting with his partner then done a brief video with about 10 takes, he left and came back a hour later and said again he will be back soon but after another 2 hours my son was really upset waiting and waiting but afraid to leave and we agreed he will surely be down for a quick picture before he leaves the he didn't, the only entitled person that sent a driver to bring his car to the grid.. there were loads of kids and fans waiting on him and he was only a couple of feet away but ignored everyone, very very bad form, even max stopped for a pic, dde gave ages talking with fans not blowing anyone off.. so many people on the rally spoke with fans except shmee, the camera comes on and he changes his presence completely.

Woah, this comment section is rough. Staggers me how much people "hate" on people they don't know and likely will never know.

I thought the podcast was a real insight into the world of Shmee. And if nothing else, that absolute insane dedication it takes to run and grow a channel to the size of his.

I'm sorry, but during that year's Gumbal, Shmee purposely cut off DDE's car on every upload, and he uploads earlier than DDE. He keeps saying that everything blew up after the rally, but he was already showing subtle diss against DDE even before the rally started. DDE even announced they were sponsors of Gumball before the rally started so i don't see why he was confused about the sponsorship stickers

Come on, you didn't even wear the merch and it all it smelled of jealousy that they're sponsoring and you weren't. When you watch that video it just looks like you're trying to worm your way out of it and especially when you offer to take their car in and do content, if you had nothing to hide then you wouldn't make that offer. All you had to do was put a sticker on a car and then you could have got clarity later, if they were in the pack then surely they were a sponsor and that would have been clear at registration when their branding was on all the promotional materials. So are we to assume that we'll never see you on a Gumball again now that DDE are sponsoring it, seems childish.
Also calling DDE clickbait is a bit rich when half of your content is 'should I buy this ?'.

I'll admit I stopped watching Shmee when half of what he comes out with is hyperbole and vitriol.

I think Mat Armstrong is especially doing so well because he had an ordinary upbringing unlike Tim and Ben. Just doing reviews on super cars is so boring.

I dont believe it for one minute, you know who really knows the truth is Max owner of Gumball, i have personally spoken with him on this subject, the only one that seemed to be "confused" was Tim, now Max will tell you 2 weeks prior too this event a lot of emails and and talks were made with the drivers, 2 weeks prior too event all the drivers got a lot of information including sponsers and car decals with renderings of this including Merch, DDE was listed on all these so TIM KNEW, there is a lot more to this but want to keep this fairly short I can assure you Tim choose to do this on purpose, he has long standing Issues with James "Mr.Jww" relating to his dealership and other personal dealings, and James is a friend of DDE Damon, you can say in some ways Tim harboured some Jelousy, dont believe me you can ask Gumball "Max" yourshelves Tim is not as solid of a person as you guys will have you believe

I think Tim suffers from Prince Andrew syndrome.
He thinks that he can just say anything and people will believe it, because he feels everyone is considerably less intelligent than him.
On his own channel it passes mostly unmentioned, but not so much here.

This DDE excuse is absolute RUBBISH! Firstly WHY not just put the stickers on as soon as you found out? Secondly WHY would you think there was just a random youtube channel name amongst the sticker pack which was ONLY sponsor names stickers and think they wouldn't be a sponsor, that's just ridiculous to think they wasn't a sponsor too! Thirdly, literally everyone on that Rally were wearing the Official merchandise with the DDE logo on it, and Tim knew this, and made a lame excuse saying they didn't have his size! And then his whole team didn't wear a single item of the merchandise, did none of them have anything in their sizes? Lol that is so ridiculous to say considering every other team had the merchandise on in some way! Tim, you are not being truthful, you got your pride put out because they were a sponsor and you weren't! And when you got the backlash you realised your mistake and won't own up to it!

Schmee really is the politician of the car YouTube world. Just admit it, you didn’t wanna put their stickers on your car. Such a long worded answer makes it so obvious. It’s really not even that big of a deal.
