"Someone has to pay."

Ya the companies that are cutting maintenance costs for profits.

The bridge is old wasn't protected to stop a container ship of this magnitude...its the size of an aircraft carrier and much heavier.

Remember when Jessie waters Mom called in when he took over, and she said he needs to stay away from this crazy crap? Now we all know his mom is super disappointed in her son

They don't want to talk about the immigrants workers who died on the bridge. That doesn't fit their narrative.

Anybody who starts a sentence with "I'm not an expert, but..." should be immediately ignored.

They underfund. They fight pay raises. They set systems up for failure, and then they criticized the failing system. I'm so sick of them.

A ship in motion tends to remain in motion, even if the power goes out. A bridge at rest tends to stay at rest, unless a ship runs into it.
Two objects can't occupy the same space at the same time.
Pretty simple.

Ships have trouble from time to time, this one just happened to hit a bridge. The Mark W. Barker, newest built ship on the Great Lakes, grounded north of Detroit last year, and the Cuyahoga, one of the oldest ships on the Great Lakes, had another fire while in dock for repairs from another fire. Things happen!!!

People have DIED and Fox comes out with all this nonsense. Very sad and embarrassing.

Imagine going to the trouble of orchestrating a terror attack to take out a bridge and doing it at 1:30am.

This has nothing to do with aging infrastructure. The bridge came down because a 1000 ton ship hit the center pylon.

What in the world is wrong with these people?

Wouldn’t a border wall be infrastructure spending, not sending tax money to Ukraine or using taxpayer dollars to rebuild the bridge, let the container companies insurance company pay for the cost

"We need answers!"
2:15: "Wide open border" (thousands of miles away)
3:36: "COVID lockdowns" (four years ago, that never actually existed)
7:15: "DEI Hires"
Faulty equipment? Unsafe working conditions? The company firing whistleblowers who report the issues? NAH! Had nothing to do with it - not possible!

“These ideas don’t spring out of nowhere” says Laura. Correct, they spring out of Fox and newsmax ect suggesting them and putting guests on that suggest them. Then they go on to say, see people are wondering about this. Same with voting integrity. Never was an issue or rarely talked about until Trump and Fox lies about it and amplifies it

The bridges pylons were not protected properly, when they built the bridge, fifty years ago. Other bridges in the area have protection on their pylons. So we need to do more safety checks on our infrastructure. Republicans don't want to spend the money.

Those damn cargo ships sneaking across the border

Also, simply off the top of my head I can think of two deadly American bridge collapses in Jesse Watters’ lifetime that were caused by ship collisions: Big Bayou in 1993 and Sunshine Skyway in 1980.

I have been on two ships that lost 100% of engines while underway, both while I was in the Coast Guard. The owners of the ship should be paying for the bridge. How is an open border causing ships to crash into bridges?
