Did you know that you can actually use phones without SIM cards? In some cases you don't even need an actual phone to make calls. You don't need to completely disconnect from the phone network but yet you can wipe yourself from the grid while still keeping a long term phone number. How do you that? We'll be explaining all of that in this video.

I found you again. Google/youtube deleted my original and my secondary accounts screwing me out of all my saved stuff on the site on both channels so I lost all my subs and been searching for them again and I found you in an interview video from about a year ago and luckily your name was in the description, and here I am resubbing the channel. Keep up the great work. These terrorists need to be taken down but we all know how that will turn out as we already know where its headed. Blessings, stay safe

When watching Rob's videos (as I have for quite a few years), I often think of the famous quote in the movie "MOZART" when Austrian Emperor Joseph II comments on a recent score that Mozart has composed: "Too many notes." I'm overwhelmed by Rob's comprehensive explanations and information. I would wish that Rob would employ more examples of everyday life of most users. (For example), it's now becoming more and more common for restaurants ask visitors to give them a (cellphone) number by which the visitor can be notified by text that her table is ready. I am befuddled by Robs extensive explanations to be able to decide what one or two solutions would likely be the simplest one that satisfies my needs for being notified in such circumstances. Many if not most restaurants and bars in urban and suburban locations have public wifi, but many, also, don't.
One more thing to recommend to Rob, I strongly recommend the use of graphics, especially diagrams, to distinguish one solution from another, or one problem from several others. Otherwise, Thank you, Rob, for your dedication to teach and give the public options. So appreciated.

It would be actually pretty easy to make a professional phone network over the internet. The software is already there, but of course, somebody has to start it and many people have to support it.

Thanks, Rob, for all the knowledge you offer. Whew! It seems overwhelming, which is likely a feature, rather than a bug!

I'm really going to have to dig into this... i don't have internet availability at home. I use my phone for almost all connections. Rarely will i tether a computer to it to process some functions on sites where a mobile interface is a no-go.

I'll have to develop a structure on paper and see how many devices and of what type and when/how to use them...

Going back to the 90's, with proprietary CDMA phones, that you had to change the phone, everytime you changed to cellular provider. That's what 'electronic SIM' means to me.

Very good content. I have nothing to hide but big tech already crossed all lines of decency and morality. Shopping for a phone on your site soon

The cell site network can triangulate your location a lot more accurately than "a mile or less".
Because sometimes cell sites are themselves located within "a mile or less" and they need to handover calls from a moving phone to each other. Their actual accuracy for triangulating phones depends on how dense the network radio hardware happens to be.
In some places, they can triangulate a phone within just a few yards. Enough accuracy to find which building, which vehicle, or which part of an intersection the phone is located in.
If you live in a remote or rural area then "a mile or less" is probably still good enough to find you.
If you live in a developed urban area then "within a few yards" is probably still good enough to find you.

In some European countries (e.g., Germany), you cannot even make an emergency call without a SIM card in your cell phone. Too many nuisance calls to emergency call centers have prompted countries to require a SIM card for emergency calls. In all EU countries, the SIM card must of course be registered with a real identity.
