Looks purdy there Ed! Some guys clean on a machined surface till all the stains are gone, I would us a plastic scraper and clean till all the gasket and carbon was removed, and if it still had stains on the surface so be it as long as it was flat. Great job. 👍

Sometimes it takes a lot to clean up aluminum heads. Turned out really nice though!
