I thought Forge make quality products. Well i purchased a new forge Turbo Blanket only to find the fabric is coming completely apart at the rivets. Im not happy about that🤨

I’m going to look at 07 r56 today cars running and driving it all checked out to me. Motor sounded good and tranny shifted well thru all gears. He’s asking $800 because he doesn’t have title im looking to buy it as a project. It has 150k miles any ideas ?

My professional opinion, as a mechanical engineer, is that "cold air" intake is trash. The stock one at least has ducting to the filter from the front of the car where it's drawing outside, actually cold, air. Drawing air from under the hood, heated by the engine and turbo and not ducted from the front of the car is counter productive. The turbo compression adds a ton more heat, which I guess is offset by the increased capacity of the larger intercooler. Power is roughly linearly proportional to the DENSITY of the combustion air, not boost pressure, density. Compression creates heat, reducing density...basic ideal gas law stuff.
