Most gamers will agree a hard-hitting soundtrack is almost as important as the story for video games.

Band members from While She Sleep, Polyphia and TesseracT have sat down with BBC Newsbeat to discuss how playing video games as a kid inspired them to jump on new projects blending their love for heavy metal and gaming.

Also discussed is how the members feel metal and gaming has a unique bond over other types of music.

Any zelda or mario ost is gunna be amazing, especially twilight princess and the galaxy games. Major pros to silent hill 2 as well, it knew that sometimes the scariest sound in the world is silence.
