Thanks for showing us Reno! I've been a regular visitor to Reno for the past 25 years or so. Thanks for not comparing it to Las Vegas. It's a totally different vibe which makes it one of my favorite places to visit.

Reno native. Think you did a great job going over our city. Our downtown is not par with other cities and needs many more businesses and things to do to make it thrive once again. Definitely add going to an Aces game next time. It's a great stadium and fun time for the whole family. Please do a Carson City video with a side trip to the wonderful Virginia City next time. Both are filled with history and charm.

I live in Reno, and you are right about downtown being undesirable. This city has potential that has never been met since they removed all the old-style casinos, which made this city unique. I do think you were generous in your assessment of Reno.

I drive from Sacramento because I bowl in Reno quite often. Its about a 2 1/2 hour drive. I enjoy the city when I come up. I always catch a Reno Aces game if they are in town, my wife and I always find new places to shop, see or eat. But because we go so often, we get free rooms at The Row. With Reno being a 45 minute drive to Tahoe its a great place to stay and drive over in the mornings.

I moved to Reno from Seattle after 50 years three years ago, I really enjoy it.
There is some really nice old architecture homes within Reno, reminds me of some of areas by the University of Washington and some the old Seattle neighborhoods like Ballard I detest tearing down old and replacing with new no character houses.

As a lifelong Northern Nevada resident. I always have to watch Reno videos because some people absolutely give this area a bad wrap for simply being a "low budget Vegas". Props for doing a solid job. I'd say if you ever revise this to definitely highlight the Reno Aces as a thing to do if you come during baseball season. Its a nice, clean little stadium and the team always puts on a good watch. And also for anyone coming during the summer time make sure to check out all of the amazing events and festivals largely held in downtown Reno/Sparks. We have Hot August nights, Rib Fest, Chicken wing fest, Italian festival, Blues Brews and BBQ, Hot Air Balloon races, Street Vibes are just a few to name. Also if you come during summer Food Truck Fridays is one of the largest food truck events in the entire country down at Idlewild Park every friday through the summer. And lastly easy food recommendations. If you want to find a huge collective of great food the Midtown District offers a lot of options close to the action of downtown. And a personal recommendation - if you're looking for an upscale steakhouse experience, visit Peppermill's sister property Western Village in Sparks. Its Peppermill without the Peppermill price tag. Easily the most bang for your buck steakhouse in Reno.

Nice review of Reno/Tahoe area. Thank you for not bashing it like so many others do. My parents lived on the outskirts between Boomtown and Reno, really nice peaceful area. Their address was actually Reno, Nv. I’m going to GSR next week for three nights. I go for the gamble or a show, it’s more of an adult destination imo. Lake Tahoe has more families in summer and winter. I agree, don’t miss it, beautiful. One more thing I enjoy, Virginia City, old mining town. They have a tram taking you around town. Also, Carson City is the Capitol of Nv.
I sound like I represent the visitors bureau, lol! Sue

I went to Reno one in May, I like it and when I see your video, it make me love it more. Reno will be my retirement destination. ❤️

Great video on Reno, although I would have also mentioned Virginia City, which is a great place to visit (although I might be a little biased since my great-great grandfather was one of the original founders of the town, and my great-grandmother was apparently one of the first children to be born there).

I have followed you for years for your videos about cities in Asia I like to visit. I moved to Reno a few years ago- I think you have done a fantastic job of my current hometown and now trust your other videos 1000% because you got so much right about Reno.Reno is amazing. I learned things from you I didn't know- thank you! I hope you come back and do more videos here! We are quiet about what's great here. :)

Grand Sierra has a $1 Billion project to build a 10, 000 seat arena, Bellagio–Style Fountains Water Show, Aqua Golf and 800 additional rooms in the next 10+ years. The renderings look completely awesome!

Just moved to Las Vegas from Reno, I miss it. Really great place to live, work and play. The outdoors are really interconnected. There are so many parks and festivals. There is also the national air races, national hot air ballon races and so much more there.

The Outlet at Legends is not names for the Casino, that casino is new, but it is themed after the Legends of Nevada, that's what a lot of the art there is about. The splash pound at Legends is a great spot for the kids too cool off too, it popped up in your video, but didn't look like anyone was there. Great Video!

oh yeah, the bike path going past the National Automobile museum get's a little sketch because it passes under lots of bridges and through parks, but there a lot of homeless people living in some of those stretches, but it takes you all the way to Sparks, I love that trail.

Reno looks like my entertainment style, museums, dining and nature. In a better climate than Vegas. Great overview of the region, Chris!😜👍🏾💛

You didn't go for the obvious joke: "Reno is so close to hell you can see Sparks!" 🤣
