The Labour Party has extended its lead over the Conservatives, according to the first exclusive YouGov poll of the campaign for Sky News.

One week into the race for Number 10, Labour is 27 points ahead of the Tories.

The Great Britain poll - conducted on Monday and Tuesday this week - puts Labour on 47%, the Tories on 20%, Reform on 12%, the Liberal Democrats on 9% and Greens on 7%.

The poll suggests the Conservatives have failed to get a bounce from Rishi Sunak's surprise election announcement and are still struggling to win back its coalition of 2019 voters.

The tory B team is home and dry. This is coming from a 30 year labour voter, but no more.

So Labour is 47 points. Tory Party on 20 points. Reform is on 12 points and Liberals are on 9 points. Reform 8 points off the Tory Party. Think that will be a lot closer on Polling Day

So, one branch of the Uni-Party is getting higher polling that the other branch?
One thing I can derive from all this is .... Nothing will change

Labour look like they've won, but do people really believe that things will get better? The damage has been done. Where are Labour getting all the money from to do all these things that they want to do?

Are we going to stop letting illegal and unqulified immigrants into the country and are we going to get rid of everyone who is here illegally? Very much doubt so.

Are single people who live on their own who work actually going to be able to afford to live properly? Very much doubt it!

Heres to hoping though i guess!

For what 😂 we have politicians of both sides, unable to guarantee clean tap water, food education is the worse in decades, work skills gone, food manufacturers are poisoning the people with their junk products and so on. What a disgrace of politicians

Take into account NI where the major parties don’t stand then Labour have over half the popular vote. That was enough for the country to turn its back on our neighbor’s and accelerate the country’s decline. This will be the most legitimate government we have had in a very long time, not built on lies and false promises.

One of the key reasons why elections alone may not bring about substantial change is the systemic nature of the challenges faced by societies. Issues such as inequality, corruption, and institutional dysfunction are deeply ingrained within the fabric of governance and cannot be resolved through a single electoral event. These problems require sustained, multi-faceted efforts that go beyond the realm of partisan politics.

If Labour or conservative are still in power in 6 weeks time, we are all done for ( or words to that effect).

If anyone wants real change we need to do better then a 2 party system. I think its time for a different party to step in hopefully there is one that actually stands for the people of this country and not just big business. But i think it will be hard to find
