Bike stolen minutes after teen cyclist's deadly crash in Manhattan | NBC New York

An 18-year-old cyclist was killed in Manhattan around lunchtime while trying to make a turn, but was fatally injured after crashing into a truck. News 4's Marc Santia reports.

Ugh! My dentist recently passed away & had a heart attack at the subway. Some bystanders assisted him to the hospital, but some bystanders also took his wallet & cellphone when he collapsed. Disgusting!

I wonder if it had been a regular bike if this would have happened. Electric bikes don't respond the way a normal bike does. They're much harder to steer and brake suddenly.

It was raining during this crash and the cyclist was not wearing a helmet. Helmets save lives. There’s most likely dashcam footage or security camera footage of this crash so we will see if the citi biker was at fault or the Amazon driver. The only bad guy in this situation is the scumbag who stole the citi bike.

Today a girl almost got hit by cars on the Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn by Bedford ave because she ran the red light on a city bike while on the phone. She didn’t even look at the light or traffic.
