You might think that you should hire people who will blend in straight away. But this approach doesn't always get the best results.

Hiring for "Cultural Fit" like this means recruiting people who share your team's values and ways of working. This approach can build happy, cohesive teams, but it can also stifle innovation and lead to bias against people who are “different,” or groupthink at the expense of new ideas.

Instead, you should try hiring for “Cultural Add.” This means recruiting people who share your organizational values and bring something fresh or new to your team. It overcomes the limitations of Cultural Fit, while maintaining team cohesion.

I like this concept of cultural add, never heard of it before. I personal think cultural fit is just code for discrimination
