Say what you will about the rest of the film, but you can't deny this is a pretty cool intro. The remix of the Inspector Gadget theme was perfectly done.

I like the way that the gadget hands, pieces of the letter "G" logo and the other equipments also trying to show us as the audience the opening credits. It's creative and fun!

When this film came out, I read an interview with the composer John Debney who said that the original theme tune (by Shuki Levy) was so perfect that it didn't need changing or replacing. He got that right! Wish I could track down that interview.

I have to admit, the intro seems catchy, creative and fun. Now let's hope Disney reboots Inspector Gadget with Tate Donovan as Inspector Gadget, Clancy Brown as Dr. Claw, and it would be directed by Mike Judge, the creator of Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill.

As a kid I didn't know this was based on a cartoon, I just enjoyed it on its own merits. I thought it was the coolest. It's not a great movie, and it's especially not a great adaptation of the show, but it's really fun if you're into weird ideas and crazy tech like in Spy Kids and Baby Geniuses, like I always was.
