This was the one part I kept rewinding on the VHS video cassette tape over and over again! Did it way too much that it ruined the tape! I freaking loved the helicopter and had a fascination for things that spin! The revving sound effect was pretty cool too!

Biggest missed opportunity for this movie, amongst many other things, was not including a live-action version of the intro to the cartoon series!

Having Broderick handcuff Claw's hand that's strapped to a bomb would have been hilarious!

Whole scene would have the end results making the front page of the city paper! "Go-Go Gadget Whoops! Cybernetic Cop Goes on the Fritz"

0:38 - 0:40 - the sound effects used here, plus Inspector Gadget’s panicking made me laugh my ass off as a kid and it still does to this day! 🤣🤣🤣

The helicopter hat was my favorite part of the movie! I was so pissed when Claw destroyed it!

With today's technology, the most unrealistic thing here is simply the lack of any counter-rotating blades... Nothing's stopping him from spinning endlessly in the opposite direction of the rotor. If this movie had been the kind of hit that Iron Man was, We'd have this now instead of jet engines strapped to our arms.
Don't get me wrong, I love the jet engines we can now strap to our arms. Just an interesting look into possible alternate histories. And go ahead and crucify me for this, but I'd rather be Iron Man than Inspector Gadget.

That helicopter hat doesn't have a tail rotor for counter-torque. Gadget would be spinning like crazy, and that perfectly suits him!
