I found an important flaw with the Aixun T3A soldering iron. #shorts

The soldering handle which you used for comparision cannot play any sound because the tip isn't connected to any voltage supply. It simply touches the ceramic heater.

Try as I may, I cannot get my T3A to do the same, well at least not entirely. I can get a speaker to make noise when connected to ground, but only when the iron is heating. Once it reaches the set temp it stays there and doesn't go into burn your house down mode.

So clearly there is a voltage there which is not good. And measuring just with a multimeter I can see 1VDC when the iron power is at 100% and 0 when the iron is not heating. I didn't find any AC doing the same test.

No idea why mine functions differently, it could just be that it is older (purchased in March 2022), and they have changed something since then. Or perhaps the FW version I'm on handles things better V1.26. But I don't know, and I don't want to break something trying to open it, or change from the possibly stable firmware.

I have to wonder if the people who have reviewed these in the past didn't mention this issue simply because it wasn't as obvious with the older versions.

With all that being said, I really appreciate the video and I will certainly not be buying another one or recommending it anymore. While mine appears to work fine for the most part, Aixun has shown that they have no intention of fixing this issue or if they even know how. Seems they are either ignoring it, or worse trying to hide it with the later firmware versions

I had the same issue when I resoldered an inductor on one of my DIY speakers while it was still connected to the amp, you could hear the same noise. It's probably induced when the heater is powered and the surrounding copper works like a transformer. Or it's a ground loop phenomena.

Hello, the Aixun T3A station all have voltage at the tips of the soldering iron or yours was defective and that fault could be repaired. I want to buy an Aixun. I would recommend it.

Mine T3A "plays audio" too, but are you sure that JBC stations doesn't do it too?
