This is awesome! I loved HD1, but didn't look into the lore. I never realized the justification for their interventions. Bugs = Oil, Cyborgs = Socialism, Illuminates = WMDs. Starship Troopers is such a great movie. "It's afraid!" lol

The lore of Helldivers two actually hits *disturbingly* close to home; which leads me to think the developers might've taken inspiration from the situation here in the *real* world. I mean we're involved in multiple wars right *now*, which's *essential* if a government wants to institute martial law & go full on *fascist* .

In the PlayStation Access interview with a dev they specified that “you see the automatons which are, again, *not* the cyborgs”. Seems like a lot of folks are missing this.
