I recently decided on the Canon M6 ii. Even though it's a dead system, it boxes me in and forces me to use what's available, saving me money, I hope. Nice size and image. Good enough for YouTube videos and family shots.

M43 is the best with prime or pro lenses. I have 12mm f2, 17mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8 and 75mm f1.8. If I need something for more casual I use 12-45 f4 pro zoom lens. I use EM5 mk3. Size, quality, price is the best compromise I ever get in photo/video world.

You are a great Dad, love the car story and value of work. When I was a kid I had to sweep out the garage and wash it down every Saturday when the other kids were playing. Today, I am thankful that my Dad instilled this hard work ethic. Every Saturday I get up and do my chores and study my hobbies. Love your videos! I've had the EM5iii with the PL 9mm, the PL 15mm, the Oly 60 macro and the Oly 75-300 for a couple of years alongside the Leica Q2.

Guess which one sits on the self gathering dust? Yup, the Q2. The RAW images from the Oly irrespective of my lens choice match those of the Q2 even in low light up to 3200 iso.

Lighter, smaller, cheaper - absolutely no brainer! Long live M43!!

I've been struggling with the same decision. Why do I need my leica film gear when I can get things done with my less expensive gear that is just as capable? It might be leaving my arsenal pretty soon. I'm glad you're back to the OM5. You seemed to really enjoy it last time you had it.

I know everyone wants the latest and greatest sensor, but Olympus has really mastered this older sensor. Comparing it to my em5 mark 3 their are some differences in the tones and low light.

My two cents are the om-5 body and the primes are fantastic. They encourage me to take them out. And probably for that reason, I have more prints from the setup on my walls than from my bulkier gear.
