This scene really struck me when I was rewatching the movie, the fact that she throws the ugly carrot away (more like pushes it away from Rhodes) and then Rhodes still picks it back up is such a powerful foreshadowing of how she sabotages herself and her relationships as an outcast (an ugly carrot) and how Rhodes refuses to give up on her. A very beautiful movie with so many subtleties.

I haven’t been to a lot of weddings but I think they are expensive - for guests - and they are boring, even if you know people there. Also, in Ireland they drag on too long. Guests often go hungry for long periods of time due to bad planning and the music is usually bad. - Tamara p.s. If you are planning a wedding, your top priority should be to keep your guests well fed and to have great music. Forget about flip flops 🩴 or thongs as they say in Oz. xoxo
