His father is so very lovely. I can't imagine what he must feel now since Eric's passing. What a wonderful father. I hope he's okay and healing.

My mom and I moved my 28 cousin to live with us out of state. I helped him detox. It’s been a year off fentanyl!! He got his GED and is planning on starting college in fall. Very proud of him!!

This one hurts to watch because the father relapsed after 15 years. And you could tell both we’re looking healthy after the intervention. I felt for him.

The hurt in that father's eye is heart breaking. Only a father would understand. 😢😢😢

And sorry to be the bearer of bad news but sadly Eric passed away in 2017 of an overdose. Like most people around my home and the majority of my friends I grew up with. Rip Eric

Watching videos like this makes extremely thankful, i was able to get out of that cycle and have 11 years clean now.

I use to do the exact same stuff this guy use to do to get high. Boosting from stores, stealing from peoples yards and from my family. I was pretty much homeless staying in a crappy hotel that my grandmother paid for. In and out of jail. That lifestyle was so exhausting. It was 24/7, non-stop mission to stay high. But by the grace of God I've been clean since 2/22/2014.

I wish this show existed back when my mother was still alive. She died of her alcohol addiction at the age of 42 on November 2001. She had cirrhosis of the liver. I think of her all the time when I watch Intervention.

Watching my mom suffer my whole childhood from drug and alcohol addiction taught me to never end up like her watching her die in front of me was a true eye opener and since then I took my life very seriously 💯

Oh, the poor dad. It’s not your fault. You didn’t stick him, you didn’t agree to take it.

Don’t let it pull you down too

When he said "I just want to be a good person, I felt that to my core" - for context, when you know the difference between right and wrong, but drugs/alcohol take you to a dark place where you start hurting the people around you, as soon as you try to get sober all of the bad you did comes back to haunt you. for every bad thing you've done, you will pay in some way. always stay humble, do your best at every chance, and repent for your sins.

@A&E if you take the time to re-edit these to repost on YouTube, why not take the time to research a follow-up that’s not outdated. Especially with the addicts who passed on it feels morbid to have the last frame be he’s been sober since xyz

I hope Eric is still sober and living his best life.
