Kenyan here. 15 cows sounds about right. Many communities will ask for 5 - 15 cows. Depending on the wealth of the groom's family or other dynamics (eg pastoralist communities like the Maasai) more cows may be offered/required. Please note, dowry does not equal buying a person but a token of appreciation and part of the African marriage culture here. Hope that helps! ❤

She’s only asking for the bare minimum. It’s not like she’s asking for a life of luxury. I honestly found it hilarious when he said he introduced his poor elderly mother to ridesharing. 'Mom, you need to take up a second job to help supplement our household income.' Greg has no decency.
