Set in the Star Wars universe between the events of The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983), the story follows Kay Vess, a young scoundrel who assembles a team for a massive heist in order to pay off a crime syndicate. The game is played from a third-person perspective, with the player traversing an open world environment and engaging in various activities.

The player controls the scoundrel Kay Vess, traversing open world environment on planets and in space while engaging in various activities. come to think of it, you can only drive your speeder and ship in outlaws, no other vehicles or mounts. Too bad, you would expect it in an open world.

The comparison is not stupid. The games are very similar, it is clear that the developers of Outlaws were inspired by BF2. Similar camera position and mechanics of shooting from the 3rd person, riding on speeders, similar battles on starships. Therefore, it is interesting to see a comparison of both games. Comparisons with Jedi survivor would be uninteresting, since it has nothing in common, except for the common universe.
