This is a movie! The drone shot of the sunset illuminating the lighthouse was breathtaking. Thank you for taking us along on an adventure today!

Only 6 more days now Cecilia and Cristoffer... the sun will set, and you'll have twilight for the first time in ages.

Christopher is the human comfort zone -- a giant teddy bear🧸

"Grim would love this place."
Me, imagining Grim bouncing around the rib boat, tongue flapping in the wind, drool flying everywhere: Yeah, that sounds about right

I love the look and smile on Christopher's face when you said "that was quite a ride". He truly was enjoying it! ☺

As an American Swede, I love the translation of "jävlig god fisk" to "really good fish". The editing out of Swedish swearing makes me laugh every time.

I lived on an island in the summers in Lake Superior with no internet, running water or electricity. There is a working lighthouse on the island. It was the highlight of my life - so relaxing and stress free!

When you first mentioned about the three families living on the island I thought they all better get along since you can’t really get away from each other. And then later when you said the teacher sometimes left the island pregnant I thought well SOMEBODY is getting along. Yikes. But, still, how amazing that these kinds of places existed.

I remember my childhood seeing this, my Grandfather was the master light keeper on a Lighthouse on the east coast of Sweden (Örskär), who is a bigger island then this, so my summers up until i was 16 was spent helping my grandfather, exploring the island and just having fun with my sister and cousins.

Swedish people have such class like in other countries you would probably be able to visit and maybe buy a bag of chips and a coke on an island but no in Sweden you can dress up an have a nice dinner that is probably still affordable :) looked like such a good experience

Cecilia, I don’t often comment, but I just want to say that you are such a gifted storyteller - par excellence! Every single video is a gem. Like all of your subscribers, I find myself totally immersed in what you present and, thoroughly enjoy your adventures with you. I thank you for that.

Your film-making is magical, because you can achieve that level of sincere interest from, I am sure, all of us.

Actually, and I’m not exaggerating, one of four movies that remain in my mind for superb cinematography, which could draw me into the mood and atmosphere of the surrounding scenery, was David Watkin’s spectacular, Oscar-winning cinematography for Out of Africa. He drew us in and gave audiences a real feel of that amazing country and landscape.

You manage to do the same with your, Cristoffer’s and Grim’s lives and travels, in such a basically untouched area of our beautiful planet. You are able to capture the mood and “atmosphere” of your surroundings. So, I believe you’re in good company!

Thank you for sharing your marvelous talents with us. It is always truly appreciated. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🎉 💕

Ps. Just for trivia’s sake, the other 3 movies that remain in my mind for spectacular cinematography are:

1) Freddie Young’s amazing work in Lawrence of Arabia, capturing spectacular desert scenes and up-close depictions of the characters and situations

2) Freddie Young again for Ryan’s Daughter, another David Lean film, capturing rural, coastal Ireland. (I guess you can throw in Freddie Young again for a third David Lean film Dr. Zhivago)

3) John Seele for his work in Witness, perfectly capturing Amish country and Amish life in Pennsylvania.

Make a movie one day, Cecilia. Or a full-length documentary. It would win awards! ❤

The decorative features of the lighthouse are beautiful. It is nice that it wasn’t just functional, but also decorative.
