What I learn as born Orthodox first we have to get free of our passion which inslave us . The Holy Great Lant it is just to begin and we have oportunity, by the Grace of God, to do it. Always pleasure to hear you Abba Tryphon, I wish you health and “easy” Lant. Prey for me. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Such wisdom and honesty. I really connect with the part about letting god change us. When I first discovered Orthodoxy, I thought the pre written prayers were kind of weird. I felt I wasn’t being genuine while praying them. Now I’m starting to notice how those prayers are changing the way I think and act in a good way. God is working with me to make me whole.

“The freedom to choose, or not to choose” .... So few institute this notion, instead they abide, even at the sake of their own nous. Abbot Tryphon is spot on. This is information all good people should hear, and adhere to.

God Bless

If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice.

Ok, a question: how free are we really if we choose not to enter the relationship? What if we follow another spiritual path? What are the results of that? Orthodoxy does not acknowledge the validity of other spiritual paths, so we wind up in hell, right? So is that really freedom?

Any idea what the official Orthodox stand is on pre-destination? Sometimes I'm reading Holy Scripture and there is a fair bit of language about election or being chosen by God and I'm curious about how to wrestle with that question internally. Thanks :)

Why is this 'Abbot' - Archimandrite - not wearing a monastic veil?
