We are all infected all the time but our body defenses don't let the infections grow to a proportion to cause any sickness. Post vaccination you can still get infected (as in sick) but likelihood of emergency/hospitalization is greatly reduced. Always take precautions and wear a mask even after being vaccinated since Covid is much more contagious than seasonal flu.
