Watch This BEFORE You Wire Your Dual Battery Setup!

Redarc has launched BCDC dual battery setup kits to save you money! I tore out my entire previous wiring job to see how this kit compared, and its fantastic! No soldering, no heat shrink, no worries. I really do think this is the best way to wire you overland battery setup and I will for sure be using one again with my next vehicle.

Adding another battery later, more solar, a battery monitor, is all made far easier with this kit. Redarc nailed this, and compared to professional installation, it really saves money. High quality wiring, fuses, and hardware.

RedArc - a conk shell. I am currently living in my 1999 Dodge Durango and I live in Eugene, OR. I'm on a shoestring budget. I have a job, but the Lord want me to live in my car for now - I'm guessing - but to humble me, and to appreciate everything He does for me, which i do most definately. You found a stingray, also I think the FJ Cruiser actually does have a smart alternator so you might want to connect that blue wire. I am about to put in a 300amp alternator in my FJ.

Hey great video! I have the same setup, the redarc 1225D and I think this is not enough for everything (Fridge, lights and converter) even with 100w solar panel, how the 1240D works? Thank you 🙏

Question about fridges with lithium batteries. What are you setting your low voltage shutoff to? The high end on mine is 11.1 which is nearly dead for lithium.

VIDEO/PRODUCT CORRECTION:
I didn’t realize there was a drop down for each section of wire on the website. Like I said early in the video, I wasn’t sure of pricing when I first recorded this back in October. I took a quick look at the website while editing the video. Pricing is a fair bit more, but I do still think it’s worth it. I can’t find comparable wire with as much shielding as the Redarc kit has, and the junction box just saves lots of time down the road. If it were me, I’d buy the 40/50 kit no matter what your installing so you can upgrade easier if you need to later. Sorry about the mistake!

And for you guys checking out the Baja videos. There are several published. It’s a BIG find. It’s not just a bone!

Those kits are cool! As much as I recommend learning to solder and shit, I totally get why someone would not want to. Time is money!

I like the video and your rig! I just installed mine on the 2022 ram power wagon. I have Dakota lithium and was wondering about the blue wire… I left it alone and when the truck is off the Li light on the charger blinks. What do you think? Should I install on ignition source or not? Also do you have a isolator or does the charger automatically isolate?
