Packing well ensures you don't unnecessarily spend that money! I went too minimalist last time and didn't bring any skincare, then my skin got majorly F'ed up and I had to spend $$ to buy stuff locally which wasn't exactly what I needed and made my skin worse. To make matters worse, my problems started on a Saturday evening when shops were closed, and they were all closed on Sunday too. That's one of many instances where I had to spend money because I didn't pack enough. I still travel light but I'm not OBSESSED with minimalism these days!

It’s an aside in this video, but having some money in the bank is the one key to traveling light in other cities. Imagine you have 10 items on your maybe list that each have a 20% chance of being needed for your trip. Let’s say they cost $25 each. Save the $250, don’t bring any, and assume you’ll need to buy 2 of them while you’re traveling. Now even if you have to pay double for them, you’ve only spent $100 and you never have to carry 8 items you didn’t even use.

I never use notebooks...I use my Mobile phone and pen...
