No, i did not know that if you mix salt, water, oil and a little bit flour together then gradually add more flour while stirring until the mixture becomes thick enough then knead the dough by hand while continuing to add flour untill the dough stops sticking against your hands lastly refrigerate the dough that you get the softest dumpling dough.

What a horrible way to improvise on what is already a very easy recipe. Just measure up the proper amount of water to flour. Mix together. Knead. Let rest. No adding more flour until whatever else you said.
