While the 0-100 of this Liberty seems a bit slow by modern standards; I have sat in one as a passenger and it seemed like a comfortable (very good head room), quiet vehicle that had no problem keeping up with the flow of traffic.

I had driven one of these things recently. Without a doubt this has got to been one of the most bladed piece of crap I have ever driven in some time. The 2.5 boxer is so asthmatic it's ridiculous, the CVT is lifeless (even for a CVT transmission) and it drinks so much fuel (worse than my BA Falcon!). Not to mention about it uncomfortable seats. Honestly, a Camry Hybrid would be a better choice over the Liberty (yes a Camry Hybrid!), the new XV70 generation is actually somewhat fun to drive and puts the Liberty to shame. The only reason why someone would buy one of these Liberty, would be the AWD system, that the only thing it has going for it!
