In early 1984, Quo announced their farewell tour titled "The End Of The Road Tour". The last date of the tour would see the band perform to a crowd of 50,000 members of the Quo Army at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Quo played a 2 1/2 - 3 hour set which was filmed and recorded.
The concert received a home-video release in November '84 titled "End Of The Road, Farewell Concert". It achieved Gold Sales Status and was the best selling music video. A follow up titled "More From The Road" was released on VHS in 1985. It was mixed, and overdubbed, whilst Quo were in the studio, down in Woldingham Surrey, in mid September 1984, whilst the footage was edited in October.
