Asus has announced all of their upcoming GPUs for the Nvidia RTX 50 Series. These GPUs include the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. Asus will offer both white and black models on all of their GPUs. Asus is also offering a 5080 and a 5090 that is water cooled with an AIO. The ROG Astral GPU has 4 fans. But for some reason the ROG Strix line for GPUs has been cut down. Asus is now only offering ROG Strix on the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti. Asus will also offer ProArt GPUs for this new GPU generation. Finally, in Q2 of 2025, Asus will offer BTF RTX 50 Series GPUs.

What do you think of the new Asus RTX 50 Series GPUs?

Just wish they'd give the prices already

What's actually interesting is the Strix originally was intended to be the "budget card" in the ASUS line up. If I remember correctly, that all changed with the 10th gen products. So in a weird way, ASUS is returning to form. Thanks for the hook-up and inside info on this. Great video.

The overall design they had for the 4 series was one of the best gpu’s ever

Thanks for the concise breakdown of the different tiers; it really helps us consumers. I'm excited to see some benchmarks of these GPUs now.

I find it interesting that Asus is changing up the lineup and the models being offered; I kind of like the new setup with the higher TBP cards offering a newer higher end variant vs the regular models that we are used to seeing.

I'm excited about LC being available closer to release, I have hated the idea of having to wait a year or two after a new generation to get an AIO from ASUS.

Great video! That is such a bummer no white strix 5090 :( I love my white 4090 oc ❤

I love the design of the strix 70 series. I really was hoping that would be on the 90.
So if I upgrade I’d have to go straight all the way to the top to get an astral… but The tuf cards are really sick tho and I’ve had great luck with them as well. I actually have had a ton of tuf series cards and they are just as good as the strix ❤

Asus seems to be the only cards I've seen of all the 50 series on offer where they have 3 DP AND 2 HDMIs on the card.

Interesting to see how they are starting to mirror their motherboard naming scheme. I wonder if we'll end up seeing an Astral motherboard line as well although there are so many ROG variants with in the motherboard arena. Maybe an Astral itself will appear.

As industrial designer I appreciate the effort put into designing the astral, and I think its design is very impressive and meets the expectations of the enthusiasts.
I expect it to be a great success, and honestly, I don't work for Asus, but I appreciate the new design and I would be very grateful if I was given one of their ASTRAL cards🤩
last gen of asus high end gpu rtx 40 series i have noted that many reviewers prefer TUF over the STRIX model due to the so many design elements in strix spatially the black version which was contains red and blue elements, the thing that many modern minimalistic design pc builds don't match with, so that is way we have rog astral this time which has been designed with remarkable effort to meet the aspirations of fans who are looking for unique modern minimalistic designs in their builds.

Wow, I didn't expect a seemingly simple question to be the catalyst for a video. However, you shared some amazingly insightful info that can't be found anywhere else! And, I greatly appreciate it! Asus' willingness to share this info to provide to us, shows that Asus is once again caring about their followers by being transparent and to clarify things that aren't clear. Much appreciated! As a current WR gpu holder and a former 7800x3d WR holder, I can say that I am looking forward to putting the Astral through its paces and see what we can get out of that beast! And, Thanks for the expanded answer - truly enlightening!

i bet for the 5090 they will turn that $2000 MSRP to a $2800 price... hope they keep it around 2000 though

Using Thermal Pads/Sheets makes sense for GPUs as I'm using the KryoSheet on my 9800X3DS with the premium air cooler and seeing them finally coming to GPU board partners is a great smart move as Pads/Sheets are more reliable than paste stuff. I think this time around, I'll go with Asus RTX 5070Ti with those Thermal Pads they added into so that's something to consider

good to know the prime is the cheapest. probably the best looking card out there other than the FE and astral.

they should honestly go back to simpler times, maybe next gen?
pro art that covers up to 80 class
prime covering to 70ti
tuf covering to 90 (as a means for high end without eye candy)
deleting astral and putting strix back (as eye candy high end)

As an Anime / Manga fan I'm looking forward to what ASUS does this year with a 5090 colab. Will it be yet another Evangelion one like Auska / Unit 2 with last years 4090, but with a white themed Rei? Personally I'm a huge fan of Zenless Zone Zero so would love a full system themed around that game to buy and build.

The Astrals cards looks sweet! But will they have a BTF option as well? Especially for the LC one.
