Harbor Freight's pneumatic tools are *Central* Pneumatic. The electric tools are Chicago.

The ball cap. The mullet. The unbutton shirt. The gold chains. This man knows what he's talking about.

that old Chicago stuff is NOT the same harbor freight stuff now. Some of those old impacts and air tools were monsters.

Harbor freight sells CENTRAL pneumatic. Chicago pneumatic is still a legit tool company.

CP is Chicago Pneumatic, HF owns Central Pneumatic, they are not the same, CP is USA made.

Very funny you and the guy she told you not to worry about😂 and I have a lot of respect for Chicago pneumatic tools. They're really good especially the old ones

I have that same cp 717. The Astro “THOR” is the knock off.
Had my CP 717 for over 15 years now. Used almost daily. Still going strong. Tool truck air hammers don’t compare.
One thing I would advise is not using the Quick chuck. The hard and steel balls beat up the bits over time

Have one of those it works great but the long barrel snap on is better as long as it is the older snap on one. I wanted them to repair mine and they said they would replace it and I knew the new one wasn't as good for sure. Rebuilt it myself.

Had an instructor who traded mechanic work with a buddy of his for custom attachments for his air hammer to do spring bushings and such. Says he made a lotta money with it.

Chicago pneumatic has nothing to do with hf. Hf has a brand called Chicago electric.

I can only imagine what that air guitar is all about. With the hair band getting back together

We basically had a 2 handed jack hammer, but it wasn't really a jack hammer! Used it a lot for removing frozen king pins! But, that was back in the mid 1990's, and had to break out the blue wrench several times, even with that!

I have an old Craftsman that absolutely beats. Idk who made them, but it's a gem. Hasn't felt me down yet. Exhaust studs wheel bearings, rusted in bushings, etc.

Harbor freight is Chicago electric and central pneumatic, chicago pneumatic is its own thing, they actually make a TON of different tools as well as compressors of all sizes up to and including huge twin screw industrial units.
