Why does no one go this way up the River Avon? | UK by narrowboat - 243

Our quest to cruise the entire UK canal and rivers network on our tiny narrowboat home is going well, and today we're ticking off another Silver Propeller Challenge location; the end of the River Avon. Most people head south out of Stratford, but not us! We turn north to see if it's really worth going as far as you can the wrong way 😁🌳

For a bit of a contrast, try it mid winter! I was moored in the basin for 14 days at the start of January. At least 4 of those you needed wellies to get off as the pontoons were under water as the river was higher than the canal. I very nearly overstayed, but luckily I could scrape under the bridge to escape. It was impassable for much of the 2 weeks.
