Like the new review format (im very brief on un-boxing these days) I like the look of this radio, really like the little touches like the orange ring around the PTT button, overall a nice looking radio and it seemed to perform well too, the screen looked OK, my eyesight isn't great these days so not so sure it would suit me particularly when viewed in the daylight as it might not be bright enough.

I have to be honest and say that overall I still prefer the audio quality of plain Analogue radios, I find DMR robotic sounding and very often voice changing to the point where all voices sound the same and are rather un listenable, I often listen in to the security people in the shopping centre near me and its very hard to tell one person from another, it strips all the character out of your voice.

I think DMR is having a bit of an emperors new clothes moment where its becoming more popular and all of the big manufacturers are pumping their money in to it but nobody is taking about the audio quality, perhaps a topic for another video :-)

Nice looking radio, I mostly use a hot spot, so dual ptt not a huge seller for me. Screen looks nice and subdued as well.

Nice looking radio (really like the dark type of screen) with loads of features. Given that it's dual band and dual mode, DMR and Analogue, I guess it could be classed as an all in one rig. Nice test... thanks for the video, 73

Other than features, I would like to see specific step by step programing process. Not talk but showing and explaining step by step. Not a soft sales review but a specifilly SHOWING STEP BY STEP please.

Even with dual PTT - still a bit pricey. Comparable to an RT84 with dual PTT and the 'covert' screen. Still only 16 channels per zone though!

Interesting radio with the dual ptt. Didn't one of the early Chinese brands do this, but the ptt was more like a rocker switch?

I've just ordered the baofeng dm-1702, and I am a complete noob. I've bought 2 for me and my grandad for when one of us goes out and our mobiles phones die. What I need to know is how to I program a dmr radio to be used on the tier 1 license free 446 band? With the ability to send sms and have a private channel, I have no clue what to do and how to do it, if possible could you guide me on what to do please?

You should of used a pop Gard then there would not be and popping in your audio . Do you need a PC to program that radio? good video 73's

Hello friend, I saw the numbers 1 and 2 with the arrow on your screen in the bottom field. Is this number of slots? How you turn it ON and how manage that?

Do You know if there is any custom firmeware to the rt52? Like you can get to the rt3/md380
