My son will turn 21 on the 25th of January. For years he and I would fall asleep listening to Forensic Files playing in the background. Fun fact. The modem origins of this story date back to a 1965 Vincent Gaddis book titled "Invisible Horizons". Only in that story, the ship was eventually set aflame to destroy"The Thing.". Gaddis is also credited with being the one who started the Bermuda Triangle legend, which came from that very same book.

My dad was an amazing storyteller, he was a WW2 Veteran but never talked much about that, instead he made up wonder adventures with animals and kids. He passed away when I was 9 and he was my best buddy! Your stories, although not the same, are told with the same flourish and excitement so thank you for bringing back some of those wonderful memories, and great stories of course!!

Hey Mr. Ballen! Since everyone is telling you how much you’ve helped them I’ll share too haha. I became a mom of two, two years ago now and suffered from really bad postpartum depression and life felt very lonely. After my oldest went to sleep I would stay up with my newborn and listen to your videos while I fed her or changed her or watched her sleep because I was scared she would stop breathing randomly and listening to you tell stories helped me not feel so alone.
