He has proven he's an unreliable and sometimes hostile witness so why do they keep putting him on the stand?

Woody was NOT snitching, the guy was simply making up stories to stay out of jail to protect his woman and child during the period of January 2015, after they'd just been shot at. The police thought he was cooperating by snitching so they kept him out of jail. By February 2015 they knew Woody had played them and that's why they locked him until 2019. Those Prosecutors been knowing that Woody was lying to them since 2015 and they still put this man on the stand thinking they could buy his cooperation with an immunity deal. It's backfired on them miserably.
